Acceptable use policy

These rules protect CRI8 participants, creators, customers, systems and intellectual property. They apply to all website use, submissions, projects and community activity.

Effective and last updated: 6 September 2026

1. Prohibited conduct

You must not use CRI8 to break the law; threaten, harass, exploit or discriminate; impersonate others; defraud or mislead; send spam; evade access controls; disrupt systems; introduce malware; scrape at harmful volume; test security without written authorisation; or facilitate dangerous or abusive conduct.

2. Content rules

Do not submit content that you do not have the right to use; violates privacy, confidentiality, publicity, copyright, trade mark or other rights; is defamatory, deceptive, obscene or unlawfully discriminatory; sexualises or exploits a minor; contains malicious code; or exposes passwords, financial credentials, government identifiers or unnecessary sensitive data.

3. Creative and AI-assisted work

You remain responsible for rights clearance, accuracy and lawful use of submitted or commissioned material, including AI-assisted material. Do not present generated output as a real person’s statement or likeness without permission, use it to deceive, or assume an automated tool grants ownership or clears third-party rights.

4. Enforcement and reporting

We may remove or restrict content, reject a submission, preserve relevant evidence, suspend access, notify affected parties or authorities, and terminate an engagement where reasonably necessary and lawful. We consider context, severity, repeat conduct and safety. If you believe content infringes rights or violates this policy, identify the material, location, basis, your authority and reliable contact details.
